Sketch 203: Captured moments

I enjoy all the sketches from Scrapbook Challenges, and I can't wait to scrap some more. My layout for this challenge is simple. I love looking at these stolen shots taken by cousin J. Also, I have been wanting to incorporate a song by Everything but the Girls in a layout so when I saw the sketch, I said to myself this is it.

Song: I didn't know I was looking for love
Materials: Stampedous stamp; Versafine Lagoon ink stamp pad; rhinestones, Bazzill card stock; American Crafts Chloe white alphabet sticker; Fotoblendz Clipping Masks from Designer Digitals.

Scrapbook Challenge: Sketch 202

I thought it would be fun to use our vacation pictures for this sketch. I fell in love with paper tearing, a technique I just learned. It was fun because it give more dimension to the layout, and I am happy that I am not afraid to tear my precious scrapbook paper :)

These are my nephews and a niece residing in the Philippines. This was our vacation last year in Bagiuo City. Time really does fly fast! The last time I saw them they were just kids. Now, some of them are taller than me. I miss them!

Happy Day

This is my first time entering the Prima's BAP challenge. Scary at first to tackle this month's layout, but I had fun doing it.
Pictures were taken at the Bagiuo Botanical Garden. It was indeed a Happy day. Enjoy!

I altered the Collage paper flower to give it more dimension.

Pagemaps Challenge Layout

Here is the layout I created inspired by the Pagemaps' Webster's Page layout challenge. This picture was taken during the ceremony. It was a great day and the proudest I've been. My degree is B.S. Mechanical Engineer. Hence, the gears :)

I used Karen Foster's tranparency paper. When I saw this and all the math formulas written (gosh!), it brought back memories of all the too many math classes I had to take especially the pop quizzes (whew!).

The horizontal strip is made of gear stencils that I created, and I use Vintage photo & Tea dye distress inks. Metal accents by Tim Holtz. (Love these!!!)

I used DCWV floral prints paper pack for the paper flowers. It also represents the feminine side of me now that I practice as a Mech Engr. The butterfly is from Heidi Swapp lathered with lots of Stickles (Love these too!!!).

My diploma was shrinked to fit my layout (with 3D effects). "Congrats" metal accent is a gift tag by Colorbok.
